DRS Diaries Turns One! (And where have I been?)

If you're reading this, thank you. Exactly one year ago today, I hit "send" on the very first edition of DRS Diaries.

When I started this newsletter, my mission was straightforward: to break down the complex, fast-paced world of automotive engineering and motorsport so that anyone could understand and appreciate it. Over the past 12 months, this community has grown far beyond what I ever anticipated, and I am genuinely grateful for every open, read, and message.

That said, you've probably noticed my presence in your inbox has been quiet recently.

First, I want to apologize for the radio silence. I know some of you count on these deep dives, and pausing the regular schedule was not an easy call to make.

However, the break was for a very important reason.

While the newsletter was on pause, we have been working behind the scenes. I came to the realization that just writing and sending emails wasn't enough to serve this community the way I want to. The automotive space doesn’t just need another media voice; it needs a true, interactive home. A one-stop solution.

We are currently working on evolving DRS into something much bigger.

Over the coming months, DRS will expand in multiple phases. I can't give away all the details just yet, but imagine taking the technical passion and engineering depth from this newsletter and turning it into:

• A dedicated collaborative space where builders, track enthusiasts, and engineers can connect and share technical knowledge.
• Next-generation digital tools built to help you navigate data, projects, and industry developments seamlessly.
• A new way to experience the automotive world, moving from just reading content to actively participating in it.

This is growing beyond just a newsletter. The foundation is being laid for a complete automotive ecosystem.

That said, the core writing you subscribed for is here to stay. Starting this Friday, I am officially back on schedule with regular weekly newsletters.
